Twelve years after being dropped out of Harvard University to focus on his dream of connecting people together around the world with his social networking platform Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has bagged an honorary degree from the prestigious university.
On Thursday May 21st, 2017, one of the Harvard University famous drop out student Mark Zuckerberg has finally come back to pick his degree from the school, after leaving Harvard twelve years ago to work full-time on Facebook.
Don’t bother about what people would say today, with diligence and the right focus, your results is what will reply people tomorrow. That’s life for you. In 2005, mark founded Facebook in his college dormitory and dropped out in November 2005. “I’m not coming back” he told The Crimson, the university paper then.
After receiving the degree, he posted a picture of himself with his parents Edward and Karen Zuckerberg, updated his degree status on Facebook and wrote, ‘Mom I always told you I’d come back and get my degree.’
His honorary degree comes 12 years later, a little quicker than it took Bill Gates, another famous Harvard dropout to get his. Bill Gates, who left to found Microsoft in 1975, received his honorary degree in 2007. Facebook CEO who dropped out to focus on the the site, picked up an honorary doctorate degree Thursday.
